- Begin by brewing a piping hot cup of your favourite Grumpy Panda coffee using your preferred method. Set it aside.
- In a small saucepan, gently heat the milk until it's steaming but not boiling. Remove from heat.
- Pour the caramel sauce into a mug, then slowly add the steamed milk, stirring gently to combine.
- Carefully pour the brewed coffee into the mug, allowing it to create beautiful layers with the milk and caramel.
- Top off your masterpiece with a fluffy cloud of whipped cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce.
- Find a cosy spot, take a sip, and let the heavenly flavours transport you to a state of pure bliss. Ahh, Friday perfection!
Recipe 2: Homemade Caramel Sauce
To add an extra touch of sweetness to your Friday, we present our easy-to-make Homemade Caramel Sauce. Drizzle it over ice cream, pancakes, or your favourite desserts for a truly decadent experience.
- 200ml Double Cream
- 200g Granulated Sugar
- 100g Unsalted Butter
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- Pinch of salt
- In a medium-sized saucepan, heat the double cream over low heat until it is warm. Remove from heat and set aside.
- In a separate heavy-bottomed saucepan, add the granulated sugar. Heat the sugar over medium heat, stirring continuously with a wooden spoon until it melts and turns a golden amber colour.
- Once the sugar has melted completely and turned caramel in colour, add the unsalted butter to the saucepan. Stir until the butter is fully melted and incorporated into the caramel.
- Slowly pour in the warm double cream while stirring constantly. Be cautious of any splatters, as the mixture will bubble. Continue stirring until the cream is fully combined with the caramel.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
- Allow the caramel sauce to cool for a few minutes before transferring it to a heatproof jar or container. The sauce will thicken slightly as it cools.
- Store any unused sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
Embrace the spirit of Friday and treat yourself to these delightful homemade recipes. Start your day with a Caramel Macchiato, letting the rich flavours of coffee and caramel envelop your senses. And don't forget to make a batch of our Easy Caramel Sauce, perfect for adding a touch of sweetness to your favourite desserts.
